Bree and Andrew planned their wedding around a particularly beautiful tree, so particular that it is only in full bloom for a few weeks of the year. I can honestly say it is a spectacularly beautiful tree. The Jacaranda Tree showers South-East Queensland from October with flowers of a stunning soft violet veil and as they fall, form an incandescent purple carpet.Spicers Clovelly Estate is a picturesque setting in the Sunshine Coast Hinterland, home of the two Chef Hatted Restaurant, The Long Apron, also one of the couple’s favourite restaurants. The venue is relaxed luxury with a European-inspired elegance and sentiment. Together with their 8 course degustation menu and the Jacaranda tree it couldn’t have been more perfect for this elegant couple and their 80 loved ones. The Estate is subtle blend of the traditional and the modern, featuring elegant, contemporary French furnishings which made for beautiful photos every way I looked. To Bree’s delight, for their November 1st wedding, the Jacaranda was absolutely ‘on show’ and the sun was shining happily.Mondo Floral Designs complemented the lush garden setting with delicate summer blooms and napkin ties of lavender amongst the mix of French jars on the dining tables and Bree literally squealed with delight at her bouquets of David Austin roses, delphinium and peonies. The peach, pale blue and ivory tones were the epitome of summer elegance and French chic.Bree was absolutely breathtaking in her couture gown by Paul Hunt, with the most delicate Chantilly lace sourced from Paris and hand finished in his typical flawless style. Bree and her Bridesmaids spent a relaxed morning with the lovely ladies from The Powder Room, Brisbane’s boutique hair and make up studio. Andrew was equally as dashing in his French blue suit and noticeably (and adoringly!) could not take his eyes of the beautiful bride all day.Deciduous Press even mixed a special purple colour for Bree and Andrew’s letterpress invitations and the couple also included customised While Away guides for The Sunshine Coast for the many international and interstate guests.
